The Assistent has Assisted

I made cookies! With my new mixer! They are awesome. I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking, “Carolyn, didn’t you make cookies last night?” And the answer is yes, but the cookies I made last night were were from pre-made Toll House batter squares.

Tonight I made homemade cookies with gallons of butter and tons-o-mini chocolate chips. I baked the cookies as an excuse to use my new mixer, even though we only made a half-batch (I only had a half a bag of chocolate chips).

Also, I’d like you to know that I’ve named my Assistent “Betty” after the beloved Betty Crocker.

Here are some pictures of the process:

Sean thinks Betty is a genie and if he rubs the mixer the right way, he'll get three wishes.
Betty is shiny and new. Never been used, that will soon change.
Check out that batter!

Betty's arm. The bowl rotates, not the arm. So Betty's motor doesn't burn out like a KitchenAid.

Yummy. Good work, Betty. Sean appreciates not having to cream the butter with a fork.
The finished product. I will now commence fat-a-thon.
"Stitch is troubled. He needs desserts." Name that movie.

In other news, the Mitten got a brush today and getting groomed is her new favorite hobby.

A little to the left, please.
