Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 – Week 3 Review

Oh my gah, y’all. Week 3 of Jillian Michaels’ Ripped in 30 DVD is awesome! Each week just gets better and better. My triceps are barking. Yikes, are they feeling it. My quads are also feeling the burn.

The first set of 3-2-1 workout is easy peasy and sort of a run up to what’s coming next. In the second set of 3-2-1, Jillian burns your legs to the max. Up until now, my legs were not really in on the game. I never felt like they were working too hard. Balance came in to play in week 1 and 2 workouts, but I never felt like I couldn’t keep up. This week, yowzas, my legs were begging me to stop.

In the final 3-2-1 set you’re working all upper body and mostly triceps. Yah! It was hard. By the second set of 30-second exercises, I was like, “Doneski!” I pushed through, but my arms were not pleased with me.

Overall, I like this one a lot. I am actually excited to do it tomorrow. Along with kickboxing. And my soccer game. Yeesh. Tomorrow’s a big day for the old body! Better fuel up with some ice cream tonight.

What? It’s got protein. 🙂

I’m quickly on my way to looking like this dude.NOT!

  1. Wow. I have done 30 Day Shred and other Jillian Michaels Workout DVDs. I can’t wait to sample this one. After a long hiatus, I am back on the Shred again, yet I would like something new. I get bored easily…too easily.

  2. Have you tried Jillian’s 30 Day Shred? I had a lot of success with it 2 years ago and I’m just now getting back into it. I was wondering if the Shred and Ripped in 30 are similair, because I’ll certainly be looking for something else to change things up soon!

    1. I haven’t tried 30 Day Shred, but I think each DVD is a different. From what I could tell from the reviews online, people think Ripped in 30 is harder. I think that for $10, it’s worth a try!
