Wonderful Wednesday

If you’ve been keeping up with me on Facebook, you know I’ve recently discovered the peanut butter-apple combination. I don’t know why I’ve never had one before. Maybe it’s because the only thing other than a PB&J that my mom ever put peanut butter on was celery sticks (cringe). As much as I wanted to love this childhood snack, I would have much rather just had the peanut butter by itself. Celery and PB don’t seem like a good combo. I’ve never been allergic to PB (thankfully, because I lived three whole summers on nothing but PB while volunteering).

And to think, poor Chelsea lived one summer with me while camping/volunteering while hating peanut butter. (She recently converted, sort of).

Anyway, since my discovery of how delicious peanut butter on apples actually is, I’ve been eating them religiously. Maybe twice a day. Yikes! Everyone says it’s a healthy snack (a sentiment with which I agree as long as you’re eating an organic, natural, non-high fructose corn syrup, non-hydrogenated oil version of peanut butter, and as long as you’re not eating more than 2 tablespoons per apple).

I can honestly say we’re pretty good about buying the good-for-you peanut butter, and while Sean and I were stocking up on PB he spotted the most glorious little jar.

Celestially delicious.

White chocolate peanut butter. Sent from the Gods. Maybe from Edesia (look her up). Not only is this peanut butter an excellent partner to a good apple (Granny Smith, Fuji, Pink Lady, Gala… yes I’ve tried them all with this ambrosial spread),  but it’s also free of all that nasty stuff I mentioned above.

Hooray! Seriously, I recommend you buy this right away and put it on every piece of fruit or grain you put in your mouth. Your taste buds will worship you. Then invite me over for a snack. 😀

I have a big news announcement coming in my next blog post. Stay tuned. And I won’t cheat you like I did last Sunday Surprise. I promise.
