Things that are good

I know I do a lot of these posts, but I just want you guys to know about the things that make me happy. Because, then you can go out and try them, and they’ll make you happy too.

Yesterday morning I made it to the 8:05 Turbo Kick at the YMCA. It was fantasmic. I mean, missing Tuesday really put me in a funk in terms of exercise. So making even just half a class (I had to miss boxing so I could clean up and head to work) was awesome. The new round has totally awesome music and some cool moves.

I had a lunch malfunction yesterday. It was pretty bad considering my need to eat every two hours. I had breakfast, went to kickboxing, then made myself a mango, strawberry, and PB smoothie (had to get my protein in somehow), then headed to work with the lunch I packed myself at 5:00 A.M. I packed myself a salad, an apple, some mango cubes, and a Trader Joe’s yogurt. I also packed a LaraBar as a snack.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough LaraBar: Dates, Cashews, Chocolate Chips, Goodness.

Well, when I got to work and tried to chow down, I discovered that my apple was rotten, my yogurt was WAY expired, and my salad was mushy lettuce soup (gag). I tried to eat the apple, choked down the yogurt, and hooved my LaraBar. I know you guys probably think I’m disgusting, but I didn’t have anything else, and I didn’t want to pass out at work from low blood sugar.

Me yesterday at work.

Needless to say, by the time I made it home at 6:30, I was STARVING. And who was there to rescue me? None other than Moe’s. Have you ever been to Moe’s? It’s a fantastic little burrito chain that makes my day every time. We’ve even become regulars at our Moe’s down the street. The manager (Noel) acted like he remembered me last night, and even waved goodbye when we left! (Note: We’ve only been there like three times in two months, and that’s the only place we’ve eaten out, I promise we’re not eater-outers.)

All the salsa you can eat. I try to put them out of business/salsa every time.

Then after Moe’s I went to Old Navy and picked myself up a pair of (dare I say it) skinny jeans. Now, I’m not the kind of girl that’s made for skinny jeans. I mean, I’ve got the legs of a hoss, but I figured, what the heck? Life’s too short not to own a pair! They also had an awesome $5 t-shirt sale! For the amount of an overpriced cup of coffee, you can get a shirt. Guess which one lasts longer…

This one.

Ok, and now since I’m only mentioning work, I’ll tell you that yesterday I wrote an article on sunburn and some other stuff. I feel so free! Writing for funs and for works! Hoorah! Ok, see you laters alligators.

P.S.
