Will I see you in September…

See you in September
See you when the summer’s through
Here we are
Saying goodbye at the station
Summer vacation
Is taking you away

Have a good time but remember
There is danger in the summer moon above
Will I see you in September
Or lose you to a summer love?

Please say someone knows that one? Click the link above to have a listen!

Anyway, can you guys believe it’s already September? So many things have flown by, and I haven’t even paid attention! I’ve officially had my blog for a whole year! Wowza! Sean and I have lived together (and not killed each other) for a whole year! And it’s almost my favorite month: October.

I don’t know why I like it so much. I have a feeling that it’s the associations it has with high school marching band competitions, school, fall temperatures, the color of changing leaves, and Halloween.

Have you ever seen It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown? If you’ve ever been around me in October, you’ve probably heard about/seen it. I can recite the words along with the cartoon. My favorite part: Linus writing his note to the Great Pumpkin.

Dear Great Pumpkin, I am looking forward to your arrival on Halloween night. I hope you will bring me lots of presents. You must get discouraged because more people believe in Santa Claus than in you. Well, let’s face it; Santa Claus has had more publicity, but being #2, perhaps you try harder. Everyone tells me you are a fake, but I believe in you. P.S.: If you really are a fake, don’t tell me. I don’t wanna know.

Of course, this is only one of the many great lines from the film. I suggest you order it on Amazon today or find your old VHS recording that your mom made when you were three…
