Sorry for being late/nonexistent recently. I’ve had a major case of the lazies when it comes to blorging. Yes, I call it a blorg in the RL, so why not call it that here?
For the past two weeks, everyday I get home from work and honestly fall asleep. Like as soon as I get home. I’ve been slacking on dinners (hello, pasta & leftover chili), and halfway slacking on workouts. Sean is usually nice enough to wake me up in time to go to kickboxing or boxing. I don’t know what my deal is, but I think it may have something to do with the kittens waking me up.
It’s not that I’m not getting 8 hours. I’m just not getting a solid, uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep.
This morning, Sean and I got up early to run the Romp & Stomp 5K in Cabbage Town. It’s followed by the “Chomp & Stomp” chili cook off. We went to the chili cook off last year, but it was SO crowded and busy that we didn’t really get to try a lot of chilis. Also, now that we’re veggies, I didn’t foresee us being able to eat a lot of it.
We’re going to a work party for Sean’s coworker tonight which is chili-themed, too, and I didn’t want to suffer chili burnout before his event. We’re making vegan chili, cornbread, and chocolate chip zucchini bread. I have a feeling people will think it’s all nasty, but little do they know… it won’t be.
I think I may go take a nap or eat something. Or maybe take a shower since I can still smell myself from the 5k. Ew!
P.S. I PRed (if you can even do that for a 5K), running it in under 28 minutes–with a full bladder. By the way, I don’t recommend trying to PR when you really have to pee. It makes the walk back to the car difficult!
