I know I haven’t written a blog in what seems like a billion years. Life has just been a little hectic. Between holiday travel, work, visitors, Christmas shopping, decorating, making party desserts, etc. blogging just hasn’t been a top priority. Sorry faithful readers. I’ll be a better blogger, I promise.
As I mentioned in my last blog, Sean and I went to a production of My Fair Lady Friday evening at the Cobb Energy Center. I was a little worried because it began at 8pm and I’m usually in bed at 9. The first half felt like it went on forever, but the singing, dancing, and music was just too good to leave early. Sean and I debated leaving at intermissions because I was getting so sleepy, but I’m so glad he convinced me to stay. The second half was even better than the first. My favorites:
- “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?”
- “With a Little Bit of Luck”
- “Just You Wait”
- “I Could Have Danced All Night”
- “On the Street Where You Live”
- “Get Me to the Church on Time”
It was fantastic!
This morning I got up early to run the Jingle Jog with two of my awesome coworkers Amy and Kelsey. Traffic outside the race was flippin’ ridiculous. I moved about 10 feet in 40 minutes. I was stuck on an exit, so there was no passing or anything. Ugh. Finally someone let me out, and I parked at the MARTA station down the road. I got my warm up in by running to the race registration. I got there at 7:50 and the race began at 8:00. I found Kelsey, but we didn’t fine Amy before the race. We found each other after, though!
It was nice to run and chat with someone. Neither of us was trying to PR, so we just took it easy and talked. After the race, we got a bunch of free stuff, found Amy, and went to the very packed Starbucks for some coffee. I regretted it the rest of the day, but it tasted so good! Yum.
I finished off holiday shopping, came home, and showered. I didn’t make it in time for my boxing class. Oh well. Next week!
After lunch, I took a LONG nap! From about 1-5pm! Yikes! I have a feeling sleeping tonight will not come easily!
And just for good measure: cat/Christmas pictures.
