Hash Brown Waffles

Sean and I spent a ridiculously large amount of time debating whether to make breakfast for dinner or go to Waffle House. We had all the ingredients since we just went grocery shopping. The debate was really about whether we wanted to make our own dinner or pay someone else to make the same thing. Also Sean wanted crispy hash browns.

Then I remembered a post I saw a while ago from Yes, I Want Cake where she made hash browns in a panini press. since we don’t have one of those, I made them in the next best thing: a waffle iron.

Listen, haters gonna hate. But it works, especially if you don’t mind waffle-shaped hash browns.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium potato, shredded
  • A little bitta diced onion
  • A sprinkle of Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
  • A drizzle of olive oil

Mix all that together in a bowl, and spread into an even, fairly thin layer onto the waffle iron.

Then close, press and cook until hash-browny. Yumz.
