I can’t believe it’s already Saturday! I start my new job on Monday. I’m a little nervous but also excited. I hope things go well.
Sean and I set out at 6:30 this morning for a cool run at Cochran Shoals by the Chattahoochee River. It was too nice to just run the regular loop, so we set out for a few more miles after the classic 3.5. Taking the short loop, we added another 2 miles. Adding miles is hard for me. I just don’t know how to do it gracefully. Last time I was training for a race (which I’m not now), I tried going from 3.5 straight to 7. Boom, one lap to two. It was great the first time, but I could never replicate that feeling of ease and success.
When we were approaching the end of the loop, I asked Sean if he wanted to try one more mile. He thought I’d said, “Let’s go around again!” and begrudgingly accompanied me and I began the trail again. We ran a shorter loop, and both felt pretty good afterwards.
Now it’s time for a breakfast of champions–eggs and cinnamon rolls. Drool.
Then, we’re off to the Renaissance Festival!
