A Good Morning Start

Tuesday’s been good so far. After a hectic Monday, I decided to take the day off from working out and just chill. I also wanted to cement the healing in my knee/quad after Saturday’s lovely injury and Sunday’s attempt to run on it.

I started this morning with a little weights session. I did one quick round of full body–from shoulders to arms to chest, abs and back, on to legs, butt, calves and more. Done and done. It wasn’t hard, but I’m trying to ease myself back into weights, and I’m sure I’ll be feeling it at least a little tomorrow.

Especially because I have a soccer game tonight.

We haven’t played with Purple Haze since June. We had a week of for the 4th of July holiday and then a by last week. I have a feeling a lot of people on the team haven’t done much since the last game, and I expect we’ll show it in tonight’s match.

The best part? We’re playing the Gold Coast Stunners, a team of mostly African men who could each probably beat our entire team by themselves. They are super-mega-good. I mean, even when they win, they stay after each game and bicker amongst themselves about missed passes and shots they should have taken.

If it were me, I’d just be happy with the win and head home for a shower and a snack.

I hope your day is full to the brim with joy, laughter, and thoughtfulness. Be aware of your every word and thought. Think about how what you say or how you say it affects other people.

And don’t forget to smile. 🙂

  1. I like those words of wisdom at the end 🙂 I should paste that on my forehead. Hope your game went well! I miss you!
