Here’s a list of things I’m thinking about.
1. Yesterday’s workout was hard. We had 4 rounds of 400m row/run (you chose which one), 25 squats, 20 situps, 15 pushups. I did it all 1-legged, and it was freaking hard. I knew it was going to be hard. And I knew it was going to take me a lot longer than everyone else. I prepared myself for that up front. But I wasn’t ready for when it actually ended up taking me forever. It felt so discouraging to be the last one. Four rounds took me 23:28–1-legged row, 1-legged squats to a block, 20 situps, 15 pushups.
But then, it was over. And I’d done it. And it was fine.
Isn’t weird how we get so caught up in emotions about ourselves, how well we’re doing, and people around us?
2. After 3 painful attempts, Sean installed a ceiling fan in our bedroom this weekend. It makes such a glorious difference, especially since having a cast on is like a permanent winter quilt on a single leg. Now I think we should have ceiling fans in every room of our house. Yes, even the bathrooms. People do that, right?
3. If you haven’t seen this video, please watch it. It makes me laugh every time.
