1. I’m a “Top Influencer” on one of the important medical marketing groups on LinkedIn. Boom. Even though I look like a 12-year-old in my LinkedIn picture. Look at all these medical and marketing professionals, engaging in business conversation with a 12-year-old. The joke’s on them.
Soon I’ll be president!
2. I got a resistance band and rode a stationary bike in physical therapy on Monday. I feel like I’m moving up in the PT world. My PT said that after I ditch the boot on July 17 (hopefully), I should be just a few short weeks away from “normal.” He says that since I’m athletic and young, it could be as little as two weeks. Trying not to get excited about that, but I really hope it’s only 2 weeks after that till running.
In case you can’t read that, it says, “Lieutenant Dan! You got new legs!”
This is my work calendar. Because I’m a professional… See #1.
3. I haven’t run since May 13. And it’s freaking. killing. me. If I follow the healing scale estimated by the PT, I will have not run for 12.5 weeks. That’s 3 months, you guys. It could be more. That’s a quarter of a year. IT’S A LIFETIME! Ok, done being dramatic.
4. I woke up this morning when my alarm went off at 4:30 and thought it was the Fourth of July. Sad day that it’s actually just Wednesday, the third. I’m off to physical therapy in a few for an hour of baby steps and pain. Bring it, Wednesday.
What are you doing to celebrate the Fourth of July?
